Ninth Street Medical Plaza, Vancouver, Washington

For this new construction project, the client wanted an inviting environment for their patients, an urban feel, and areas to display their large collection of artwork. The overall design of the space is a study in balance and contrast. The high ceiling in the main lobby visually expands the small space and creates an area to display a colorful custom-designed art glass / light fixture commissioned by the owner. The floors feature a softly carpeted landscape through which flows a winding river of granite that leads patients to the elevator. A color palette of neutral tones and simple wall details provide an ideal backdrop for colorful art. The warmth of wood offsets cold, brushed stainless steel accents, creating a chic, timeless feel.
